Do you still have the " Big Questions?" I do and from my life's experiences religion hasn't answered any of them other than to promote mythology and fantasy. Pursuing a peaceful type of spirituality has been more rewarding. A pursuit where I sense and listen to the answers to the Big Questions and live with them on my own terms, finding my own meaning. Who needs a priest or monk when a philosopher or poet may provide just as much value? (Link to Bukowski inside quotation.) Tribal Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/ulintertribal

My own contribution (written on a snarky day) to this process:

My reoriented spirituality reveals that my involvement in any of the "Big IT" isn't what's important, is as Mark says "here before/here after," and only holds value to my immediate personal gratification and happiness. As well as the happiness I can share with those closest to me during my time here and the ways I can help make their short time better, if I so desire. Whether it's a pursuit to be closer to "God" or to seek "Nothing" is of no consequence to any human being's present or past existence. We can simply hope and try to leave a legacy behind, possibly be remembered kindly for a time by those who connected with us. My grave-marker is my memorial pyramid, if anyone visits it to remember. (It will more than likely be paved over and/or dug up within a couple hundred years for a new Mag-lev highway for personal transportation vehicles. They'll debate what my Fitbit was used for. ) Views are dependent upon the size of the ant hill one lives on. Religion comes from fear of being inconsequential. Big questions? I don't know and I'm not going to find out. That is the Agnostic way. At least, my version of it.
